Region receives grant funding for groundwater planning effort

To assist with the development of the groundwater plan and to offset some of the nearly $2 million needed to complete the Groundwater Sustainability Plan, the region (which includes the West Placer Groundwater Sustainability Agency) was awarded nearly $1 million dollars earlier this year that will be used for data gathering and other tools needed to complete the plan.

The balance of the funding will come in the way of member agency budgets and in-kind contributions.  WPGSA’s share is about $241,000.
